Team India’s new express pacer Mayank Yadav made a sensational start to his T20I career against Bangladesh in Gwalior, on (October 6) Sunday. Pace bowling seemed like a match made in heaven when Yadav made a perfect start to his T20I career by bowling a maiden in his first over of his international career.
Skipper Suryakumar Yadav brought him into the attack in the sixth over of the game. The youngster was right on the money from the first ball itself. Incredibly enough, he went on to ball the first over as a maiden. In the process, the 22-year-old became only the third Indian bowler to have bowled a maiden over in his first T20I appearance, after Ajit Agarkar and Arshdeep Singh, respectively.
Furthermore, in his second over, Mayank Yadav beat the Bangladesh batter Mahumudullah with his sheer pace. Though he did not get another wicket in the game, but he conceded just 21 runs in his quota of four overs for a decent start in his maiden international appearance. The veteran batter attempted to dance down the track and smack him for a big shot. As a result, he earned his first wicket of his career by getting him caught by Washington Sundar, who was stationed in the deep point region.

Meanwhile, speaking of how the first T20I game between India and Bangladesh has panned out so far, the spearhead pacer Arshdeep Singh rattled the top order of the visitors. Thereafter, the comeback man in the mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy joined the party to have three victims shared between them. As things were getting tougher, Mayank too pushed the Bangla Tigers further on the backfoot with his sensational bowling spell.
