Valentina Shevchenko wants to become a two-time Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight champion.
Noche UFC at UFC 306 in the Las Vegas Sphere will once again feature the Flyweight title rivalry between the champion, Alexa Grasso, and Shevchenko when they meet for the third time this weekend (Sat., Sept. 14, 2024). After one of the greatest upsets in recent memory, submitting Shevchenko via a fourth round face crank at UFC 285 in March 2023 (watch highlights), Grasso battled “The Bullet” to a split draw (watch highlights) in their rematch nearly a year ago to the day (Sept. 16, 2023).
The fight was competitive enough for a draw not to be a surprising outcome. However, the round-by-round scoring was where things got controversial and Shevchenko still believes she was robbed.
successfully defended her title by split decision against Taila Santos at UFC 275 in June 2022.
