Christmas has certainly come early for Nigma Galaxy fans this year around. On 22nd December, the organization, in an exciting development, announced the return of Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi returned to Nigma Galaxy’s Dota 2 roster. Miracle- will be the team’s new carry for the upcoming competition season. He was benched and put on the inactive roster after he faced health issues late last year in December.
A day before this, fans were also treated to the return of The King, Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan, who made a swift return to the team. With this, Nigma Galaxy has three players on its 2024 roster.
Miracle Returns to Competitive Dota 2
Miracle-, a renowned Dota 2 player, is making his comeback after a year-long hiatus. He had previously gone inactive due to health issues but he is back now, seemingly stronger than ever. Nigma Galaxy announced the return of its star player through a video on X and YouTube.
This announcement has taken the community by storm as Nigma fans and Dota 2 fans alike have been longing for the return of Miracle- to the professional scene. Known for his innovative playstyle, Miracle’s gameplay is a delight to watch. Over the years, he has lodged some fond memories in the Dota 2 archives.
Notably, Miracle- had made a brief return earlier this year to stand in for Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf at the DreamLeague Season 19. Still, Nigma Galaxy was unable to find success and exited the tournament with a disheartening 13th-14th finish
Now with three confirmed players in the roster, Nigma Galaxy needs an offlaner and a position four support. The confirmed list as of now is:
Fans have been speculating about the possible offlaner and position four, some have taken to X to speculate that inactive Team Secret player, Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat may join as the new position four for Nigma Galaxy while Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, who just recently parted ways with 9Pandas, may join as the new offlaner.
Miracle-’s return to the competitive season was not a complete surprise as fans and observers noticed that he had been actively practicing carry heroes in public Dota 2 games.
Miracle, alongside SumaiL, won the DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division II in 2022 but couldn’t find much success elsewhere. Now, the duo will undoubtedly look forward to bringing their A-game as Nigma Galaxy hasn’t tasted victory for a long time.
The team won its last tournament in 2022 and failed to qualify for The International 2023 and Riyadh Masters 2023. It was last seen playing at the BetBoom Dacha 2023 where it finished in the last place.
