Recap of the Highest MMR Dota 2 Game
In the history of Dota 2, 23rd January 2024 recorded the highest MMR game of Dota 2 with an impressive 12,168 average MMR but the game was lopsided in favor of the Radiant team and not a see-saw as one would expect.
The Radiant team comprised of:
-
Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov
-
Nikita “Nicky`Cool” Ostakhov
-
Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi
-
Edgar “9Class” Naltakian
-
Aleksandr “rue” Filin
While the Dire had:
Radiant started dynamic and sought kills around the map with Miracle’s Centaur Warruner and 9Class’ Tiny. The Centaur and Tiny combo dominated the offlane and left Butterfly’s Templar Assassin in a very tight spot with no space to farm. Miracle along with 9Class and rue’s Techies forced skirmishes around the map from the early game and they were joined by watson after he gained Aghanim’s Scepter on Phantom Lancer. Nicky`Cool’s global presence with Zeus was the cherry on top as the Radiant seemed to have the perfect draft for the game with just enough lockdown for V-Tune’s Queen of Pain and enough burst damage to go through Doom’s armor.
Strangely, V-Tune opted for a Blink Dagger as his first item on Queen of Pain and as expected could not make a difference as Zeus outscaled him with a standard Phylactery build. While, Miposhka attempted to create space with his Nature’s Prophet it was not enough to counter the massive gold and XP advantage Radiant had over Dire.
Radiant kept the pressure up from its early game advantage and managed to siege Dire’s high ground in the 25th minute. Dire managed to push Radiant out of its base in one last base defense attempt.
But this victory was short-lived as Radiant started its high-ground sieges once again at the 28th-minute mark. 9Class started the fight off by catching Doom, Queen of Pain, and Templar Assassin in its Avalanche-Toss combo which was followed by Miracle’s Hoof Stomp and Double Edge and finished off by the rest of the Radiant team. This seemed to be the final straw as Dire just gave up and let the game end. The final score of Kills recorded for the game was 47-14.
