
Conor McGregor is serious enough about fighting on the UFC’s big White House 4th of July card that he’s put himself back in the DFSI drug testing pool.
We’d heard reports from BKFC president David Feldman that “The Notorious” was getting tested again, and now we have it straight from the horse’s mouth. McGregor told The Schmo following last Thursday’s amped up BKFC Champions Summit appearance (July 10th, 2025) that he’s getting prepared to fight.
“I’m going home, getting the head down, gonna rest,” McGregor said. “They’re testing me, I’m in the pool.”
most tested fighters in the sport. That being said, he did gain a massive amount of muscle between 2021 and 2023 that had many people questioning why he was allowed to jump in and out.
Fighters re-entering the pool must spend six months getting tested before being allowed to compete — that means McGregor will be eligible to fight sometime around January 2026. Will he really get his head down, rest, and prepare himself as needed for a UFC return? Or is this just more talk from a man who continues to dominate MMA news for all the wrong reasons?
