I said this months ago, but boxing is dead, haven’t you heard?
Tonight (Sat., Nov. 25, 2023), live from inside Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, we’ve got a great fight, as two long-time undefeated boxers at the top of their division go head-to-head. Two-time Super Middleweight world champion, David Benavidez (27-0, 23 KOs), will defend his interim WBC Super Middleweight title against unbeaten two-division world champion, Demetrius Andrade (32-0, 19 KOs).
Both men feel (probably correctly) that this win will put them in line to take on Super Middleweight kingpin, Canelo Alvarez, next. Benavidez is coming off an impressive decision win over Caleb Plant this past March, while Andrade is coming off of a tune-up win over Demond Nicholson back in January.
Welterweight challenger, Benavidez Jr., who is looking to get a win streak going after his first win in five years this past August against Sladan Janjanin. That pushed his record back up to 28–2–1 (19 KO).
