During a recent Twitch stream, Team Spirit’s content creator Kamil “Koma`” Biktimirov remarked how Gaimin Gladiators’ mid-laner Quinn “Quinn” Callahan plays the hero Pangolier every day and is unfazed about it. The Gaimin Gladiator mid-laner recently touched the 13K MMR milestone and dethroned Entity’s Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov temporarily as the rank 1 player on the Dota 2 European leaderboard. watson eventually secured his rank 1 spot again after a short while.
Quinn’s Fascination with Pangolier Catches Koma’s Eye
During a recent Twitch stream, Koma talked about Quinn. He said, “You know what I realized? There’s Quinn– he plays Pangolier every day. And he doesn’t care at all. He’s not trying to come up with some cycle, he’s just playing what he’s good at. He’s already got his playstyle that he’s confident in. And he’s not spinning anywhere. In fact, there’s strength in that.”
Koma remarked how Quinn loves playing Pangolier almost every day and has no problem in doing so. According to Dotabuff.com, Quinn has over 280 matches played as Pangolier, and has a 52.86% win rate with a 5.65 KDA ratio. In the last eight days, Quinn played Pangolier seven times but won only three games out of the seven played.
Quinn is often regarded as one of the best Pangoleir players and it is always a delight to see the hero played masterfully by Quinn. In a recent game, Quinn played Pangolier alongside BetBoom Team’s Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek against Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau and rank 3 player, Ilya “Kiritych” Ulyanov and demonstrated his mastery with the hero. His affinity for the hero is now widespread and can now be considered as one of his signature heroes.
In other news, Team Spirit’s content creator Koma` might finally play as a professional once again. Koma` was banned indefinitely by Valve on 18th December 2022 for being involved in a matchmaking scandal along with nine others.
Earlier this month, ESL released a statement regarding the bans on these 10 players. ESL stated that Valve issued ban will last for 2 years after which the players will be allowed to participate in ESL-organized tournaments. Noting that Koma` was banned in December 2022, his ban would be lifted in December 2024, after which he will be free to participate as a player in ESL-based tournaments. This news was not taken lightly by Quinn and Team Falcon’s Oliver “skiter” Lepko, both of whom called for ESL to rethink the decision.
