Punjab Kings (PBKS) clinched a 37-run win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium on Sunday, May 4. This win propelled them to the second spot in the IPL 2025 points table.

The run-chase was dented early courtesy Arshdeep Singh’s double blow in his second over. The visitors were reduced to 38/3 at the end of their powerplay. By the 10th over, they were in all sorts of trouble, having already lost half their side. Ayush Badoni and Ayush Badoni struck together an 81-run stand to provide a tiny amount of hope. However, the two departed for 74 off 40 and 45 off 24. LSG could get to only 199/7. Arshdeep was the star with the ball (3/16 in four overs).
