Naoya Inoue (32-0, 27 KOs) looked as dominant as ever earlier today (Sat., Dec. 27, 2025) LIVE on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) atop The Ring V: “Night of the Samurai” fight card from inside Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, outlasting David Picasso (32-1-1, 17 KOs) over the course of 12 rounds to cap off 2025 with his fourth-straight super bantamweight title defense.
While Inoue wasn’t able to find a fight-ending shot he was in full control from the opening bell. Picasso has proven to be a tough fighter in close quarters, but Inoue stood in the pocket and willingly exchanged with the Mexican challenger. In the end, the judges scored it 119-109, 120-108 and 117-111 for “The Monster,” proving that Inoue is in fact one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.
There weren’t too many defining moments in this main event fight, but we were still able to piece together some video highlights. This includes an issue with Inoue’s hand wraps pre-fight, some in-fight action, and Inoue’s post-fight reaction to his second straight fight in which he couldn’t find a finish.
Check out the footage below and let us know your final thoughts on Inoue’s incredible 2025 campaign!
