After a successful inaugural event, the Craig Jones Invitational 2 (CJI 2) will happen over two days from Aug. 30-31, 2025, inside Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Craig Jones himself will be competing in his event once again, with the BJJ star being matched up against Olympic wrestling champ, Gable Stevenson. More “super” fights are expected to be on the line up, but the main highlight of the event is their team tournament that is said to be stacked with various BJJ stars and world champions.
As CJI 2 co-promotes with Quintet and moves to a team tournament format, eight teams will be competing for $1 million.
Teams will consist of five grapplers, one from each weight class. In case the team doesn’t have members from every division, they will also have the opportunity to get a “wild card” pick to fill up one of those slots.
First team announced was 10th Planet, with B-Team, New Wave and three “misfits” teams from various regions eventually confirmed by Craig Jones. Lachlan Giles, who will be coaching and managing Team Australasia, has confirmed that he will be hosting a CJI 2 trials event to fill up two of his slots.
Atos will likely be joining as well, along with another major BJJ team to complete the eight-team tournament.
Below is the current fight card and full list of competitors that have a slot booked for CJI 2. We will be constantly updating this post every time an athlete gets confirmed for the event.

All the details and subsequent updates to this list will be noted on this section.
April 9: FloGrappling reported the entire roster for New Wave, led by two-time ADCC world champ Giancarlo Bodoni. Interestingly enough, they also noted that their 77 kg representative will be from an “inter-squad trials.”
