Last week, the story that got the most eyeballs was Sam Alvey’s fight week and then his eventual brutal downfall.
Women’s MMA pioneer Gina Carano is back in the gym. Maybe she’s training for a Ronda Rousey super fight, or maybe she’s just getting in shape from missing out on those Disney checks.
Nevertheless, our lovely readers couldn’t care less.

The first three numbered events for 2026 have been announced — and it is safe to say, UFC is gearing up its Paramount debut with straight heat.
Dan Hooker vs. BSD?? Charles Oliveira vs. Max Holloway? Hell yeah.
This Past Week in MMA History:
TUF 26 Finale – Dec. 1, 2017
Arguably, the worst UFC champion of all time was crowned in 2017, when Nicco Montano (remember her?) defeated Roxanne Modafferi in the TUF 26 finale.
In the co-main event on the same card, Sean O’Malley made his UFC debut, winning a unanimous decision.
UFC Austin – Dec. 2, 2023
Austin, Texas, got an absolutely violent card in 2023.
In the main event, Arman Tsarukyan starched Beneil Dariush in 64 seconds.
In the co-main event, Jalin Turner put an extra beating on King Green, thanks to the moron referee.
There were also two vicious slam knockouts in a row.
UFC 218 – Dec. 2, 2017
The highly anticipated rematch between Max Holloway and Jose Aldo took place at UFC 218, and it was one-way traffic for “Blessed.”
In the co-main event, Francis Ngannou delivered on the most vicious knockouts in UFC history.
TUF 24 Finale – Dec. 3, 2016
Demetrious Johnson ended up winning a dominant unanimous decision over Tim Elliott in the TUF 24 Finale, but he got into a lot of trouble in the first round.
TUF 10 Finale – Dec. 5, 2009
Roy Nelson won TUF 10 by knocking out Brendan Schaub in the main event of the finale.
In the co-main event, Jon Jones suffered his only UFC debut … via disqualification.
