Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Let’s start the night off by taking a look back over the three biggest stories of Monday, Sept. 15, 2025.
It’s no surprise that lots of Netflix viewers tuned in for Canelo vs. Crawford, but one wonders just how many made it all the way to the main event. Either way, 41 million is an impressive viewer count, even if Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson more than doubled that figure (reportedly 108 million live viewers).
Caio Borralho talking a bit of smack on Paulo Costa for requesting three rounds versus Reinier de Ridder rather than accepting the five round offer. Maybe this is the next fight to book?
Three Featherweights putting forth their case for the next title shot:
Shockingly, I’ve heard more than one person say Lopes vs. Silva was an early stoppage, which is … truly baffling.
As if often the case with Gerald Meerschaert bookings, this match up feels like it happened at some point previously. I think Kyle Daukaus takes it!
An outstanding scramble from Noche UFC 3:
Slips, rips, and KO clips
Lost in the Canelo vs. Crawford hubbub is the fact that Naoya Inoue put on another masterclass over the weekend.
That said, the Canelo vs. Crawford ringside highlights are worth revisiting.
If that was too many boxing clips for you, here’s an MMA palate cleanser. Only the good stuff!
