Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford prefers a move to Barcelona during the January transfer window.
This is according to The Athletic who report the Catalans can afford to sign the 27-year-old following the sale of VIP seating at the redeveloped Camp Nou.
However, a move is expected to be complicated as the La Liga giants want to shift players out before potentially bringing anyone else in.
They could be willing to sanction an exit for Ansu Fati, as he doesn’t look to be part of Hansi Flick’s future plans. But the issue is the 22-year-old doesn’t want to leave Barcelona (per Mundo Deportivo).
Rashford has been heavily linked with a loan exit in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils haven’t closed the door to the forward being reintegrated, but at the same time they are also prepared to let him leave if a club comes up with a good offer.
AC Milan had an interest in the England international, but they have now opted to sign Manchester City’s Kyle Walker to occupy their final non-EU spot.
Barcelona have recently emerged as a top contender for the forward’s services, while Borussia Dortmund are also said to be monitoring the situation.
Rashford publicly said in an interview that he is ready for a new challenge elsewhere.
Manager Ruben Amorim has since dropped him from the first-team, and he hasn’t played for United in the last nine matches. But things could change for Rashford in the coming weeks.
Man Utd will take on Fulham at the weekend, with the exciting match available to watch for fans via Premier League streams.
Antony on the verge of United exit
Antony is set to end his Old Trafford nightmare by leaving the English club on loan.
United have reached a verbal agreement with Real Betis over a temporary move for the Brazilian.
The Premier League outfit will cover a huge portion of the player’s current wages, and the loan deal doesn’t have an option to buy.
Antony arrived at Old Trafford from Ajax in a huge deal worth up to £86 million in 2022. But the move has spectacularly failed, as he has scored only 12 goals in 96 appearances across all competitions for the Manchester giants.
