India women and the West Indies women continued their ongoing T20I series by facing off in the third T20I. Both sides locked horns at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. The series score was levelled after India won the first clash and the Windies won the second.
However, the third game began with India women coming in to bat first after losing the toss. The side opened their innings with Smriti Mandhana scoring 77 runs and Uma Chetry departing for a duck. Jemimah Rodrigues added 39 runs on the board with Raghvi Bist scoring 31* runs in 22 deliveries.
Furthermore, Richa Ghosh completed her half century, scoring 54 runs in 21 deliveries as India women posted their highest ever total of 217 runs in the first innings. As for the West Indies women, Chinelle Henry, Deandra Dottin, Aaliyah Alleyne, and Afy Fletcher were the wicket-takers with one wicket each to their names.

Chinelle Henry’s knock in vain as India women limit the Windies to clinch series
Aiming to chase down a target of 218 runs, the Windies women opened their innings with Hayley Matthews and Qiana Joseph scoring 22 and 11 runs, respectively. Deandra Dottin and Shemaine Campbelle added 25 and 17 runs, respectively as well.
Furthermore, Chinelle Henry scored 43 runs in 16 deliveries but her knock proved to be in vain as well, as the remaining batters could not amount to much. The Windies women were limited to a score of 157 runs in the second innings as India women won the game by 60 runs.
For the hosts, Radha Yadav was the highest wicket-taker with four wickets to her name. Furthermore, Renuka Singh, Sajeevan Sajana, Titas Sadhu, and Deepti Sharma took one wicket each as well.
