Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Feyenoord boss Arne Slot as their new head coach this summer.
The Guardian report the 45-year-old has emerged as a candidate to replace Jurgen Klopp who is set to step down from his position at the end of the campaign.
Slot has been very successful at Feyenoord after coming into the job in 2021.
Even on a modest budget, he has led his side to the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup trophies as well as the Europa Conference League final.
The Dutchman’s achievements haven’t gone unnoticed as he was linked with an interest from Tottenham Hotspur last summer.
But he turned down their advances and Spurs went on to appoint Ange Postecoglou.
Slot has a contract at Feyenoord until 2026 but he could be tempted to leave the club for Liverpool.
The Reds are the most successful club in England, having lifted an incredible 69 trophies, including 19 league titles.
The Merseyside giants are also in contention for the 2023-24 Premier League title with Manchester City and Arsenal.
They suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace but returned to winning ways at the expense of Fulham last weekend.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently level on points with leaders Arsenal in second place, but City are a point behind them with a game in hand.
Liverpool will now head to the Merseyside derby in a crucial clash with Everton on Wednesday, with the match available to watch via the Premier League live streams.
