Team Liquid’s Michał “Nisha” Jankowski recently beat a few of the best players in the world at the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai solo tournament and took home $50,000 USD in prize money. In a post-game interview with BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai tournament organizers, Nisha revealed that he would spend his tournament winnings on Counter-Strike (CS) and Valorant skins. He also said he would treat his teammates and especially mentioned Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi and Team Liquid coach Mathis “Jabbz” Friesel.
Nisha’s Plans to Spend His Solo Tournament Winnings
On 10th February, Nisha beat Team Falcons’ Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf and Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak, BetBoom Team’s midlaner Danil “gpk” Skutin, and Xtreme Gaming’s midlaner Guo “Xm” Hongcheng at the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai solo tournament and established himself as a competent midlaner.
After he won the $50,000, Natalie “NatTea” Mahoney and Andrew “Jenkins” Jenkins asked Nisha how he planned to spend the money. Nisha, in a wholesome manner, replied that he would be treating his teammates. He said he would treat iNSaNiA to a “nice meal” and Jabbz to a massage in a spa. He added, “So, I think there will be some people who will benefit from it. We won, not me.”
However, later in another interview with the BetBoom Dacha 2024 Dubai organizers, Nisha revealed that he would be spending the money on buying skins for other game titles such as CS and Valorant. He said, “I don’t know, we’ll see. I’ll definitely buy skins in CS or Valorant.”
The organizers also asked Nisha if he would share his prize money with his teammates. Nisha in a candid way replied “Definitely not. There will be some gifts I might do for my team cause they helped me out. But it’s all mine!”
Following his win, he took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a photo of himself with the trophy and captioned it, “Actually won something, also Boxi’s a beast.” Samuel “Boxi” Svahn of Team Liquid displayed an impressive skill of versatility during the solo mid-tournament. Despite being a support player, he managed to reach the semi-finals of the tournament but lost against Xtreme Gaming’s Xm in a 1-2 series.
Interestingly, Nisha also revealed that he did not practice for the solo mid-tournament and just played after reading the rules. On the other end, Team Liquid finds itself in a tough spot as it was knocked to the lower bracket by Azure Ray and will have to face Xtreme Gaming in its next series. The loser of this series will be eliminated from the tournament.
