DAZN PPV from inside Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, when the undefeated Australian fighter delivered a scary knockout finish over Ellis Zorro on the PPV undercard to retain his Ring Magazine Cruiserweight title.
It didn’t take Opetaia that long to establish his range and put Zorro on the defensive. Towards the end of the first round, Opetaia stepped inside for an exchange and connected on a vicious overhand left. It landed flush and sent Zorro crashing to the canvas. Zorro’s neck hit the ropes on the way down before his head slammed off the ground. Unfortunately, it took Zorro a little bit to regain consciousness and ease the concerns of those in attendance.
Check out the scary knockout below:
Opetaia, 28, is now 24-0 in his professional boxing career. This was one of his biggest opportunities yet on one of the biggest boxing cards of 2023 and the Australian champion delivered the goods. He will be a serious name to watch heading into the new year, especially after turning in a viral knockout finish like this one.
