Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) interim Welterweight champ, Colby Covington, will attempt to snatch the undisputed crown from Leon Edwards in just a couple weeks as the main event of UFC 296, which takes place inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The controversial “Chaos” will have serious support inside the arena with him, as former United States President Donald Trump announced his plans to attend the event and support his longtime friend.
Covington posted a video of Trump’s announcement on his Instagram.
“I just want to say we’re going to be watching Colby,” Trump said. “An incredible career. So it’ll be a great night, and I look forward to it. Traveling out there, we’re going to root you on. You’re going to be fantastic.”
Covington responded, “I’m going to take back that world title, and you’re going to take back the White House. We’re going to Make American Great Again.”
Back in November, Trump was in attendance at UFC 295 in New York City, New York, and the former president certainly managed to make some waves. Between hanging out with UFC CEO Dana White and Kid Rock, there was an … interaction between Trump and Bill Burr’s wife Nia Renee Hill that went viral.
Hopefully, no sponsors have an issue with his attendance.
