Dota 2 esports player for Team Spirit and two-time The International (TI) winner Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk has been casually playing other games and esports titles. During some of Twitch streaming sessions, Yatoro explored a diverse range of titles beyond Dota 2, offering a glimpse into his gaming inclinations and preferences. Having played two of the hottest first-person shooter (FPS) games in the market currently, Yatoro reportedly recorded his preference of Riot Games’ first-person hero shooter Valorant over Counter-Strike 2.
Yatoro Says Valorant Is More Colorful & Lively Than Counter-Strike 2
During one of his livestreams, Yatoro reportedly made a bold declaration that Valorant surpassed Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) in terms of overall enjoyment and engagement.
According to Dota2.net, Yatoro opined, “Valorant is more colorful and lively than CS2. Here [Valorant] the characters are talking. There are abilities and you need to think how to use them, and not just shoot. There are heroes on whom you do not need to bully lineups, smokes, and so on. For example, a hero like Reyna, on which you go out and give it to your head[shot] or get it[get headshotted].”
Yatoro added that Valorant is much more simpler in development, more colorful and interesting. He declared that he does not like Counter-Strike 2 because it is commonplace. He added, “Each round happens plus or minus the same. I don’t have to lie that it’s in the economy. Valorant has skills and ultimates, so team fights look amazing here when everything is used. The game is simply more commonplace visually.”
Counter-Strike 2, the sequel to the iconic Valve title Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, was released on 27th September. It has made improvements to the game engine, texture enhancements, object models, and it also overhauled its user interface (UI). Counter-Strike 2 remains steadfast in its commitment to the first-person shooter (FPS) genre, offering the traditional shooting experience.
In stark contrast, Riot Games’ Valorant, which was released in 2020, introduces a distinctive element of interactivity with its diverse roster of characters, each equipped with individual skill sets. These characters come equipped with three standard skills and an ultimate skill, culminating in a captivating blend of tactical gameplay and engaging mechanics that transcend the conventions of typical FPS titles.
